Since 2025, we have been manufacturing blind rivets at our facility in Erkrath, near Düsseldorf, proudly carrying the label Made in Germany. With an annual production capacity of approximately 250,000,000 blind rivets, we produce:
Outlook for 2026:
Starting in early 2026, our capacity will be increased to approximately 650,000,000 pieces through the addition of new machinery, and our production program will be further expanded. Our goal is to offer high-strength blind rivets, lockbolts, and blind rivet nuts, along with the corresponding installation tools — all Made in Germany.
With these high capacities and an increased level of vertical integration, we are able to serve our customers even more flexibly and efficiently.
The expansion of our finished goods warehouse will also continue, ensuring the shortest possible delivery times.

Raw Materials & Wire Drawing
The value creation process begins with high-grade wire sourced from certified wire drawing plants, which exclusively use German or European steel. In our partner facilities, the wire is drawn to the exact diameter required for rivet production. This high-quality wire is directly reflected in the superior quality of our Blind Rivets Made in Germany.
Cold Forming for Blind Rivets
The drawn wire is cold-formed in our presses into bodies and mandrels, which later combine to create the finished blind rivets. On double-stroke, multi-stage, and mandrel presses, millions of semi-finished parts are produced daily at our Erkrath facility. These process-monitored presses are an integral part of our Smart Blue Factory concept.
Surface Finishing & Coating
After forming, the bodies undergo an annealing process at our Erkrath facility to relieve the stress caused by cold forming. Depending on the required specifications, bodies and mandrels are then surface-finished — polished, electroplated, anodized, painted, or specially coated — either in-house or by certified local partner companies.
These processes provide corrosion protection, improve processing performance, and ensure a consistent, high-quality appearance.
Assembly, Inspection & Packaging
During the assembly process, bodies and mandrels are combined, tested, and optically sorted. Each batch is then inspected in our in-house laboratory and labeled with a QR code documenting its origin, test report, and production time. This ensures 100% traceability for every delivery — a key advantage of Goebel’s commitment to quality.
Logistics & Supply
The finished blind rivets are automatically packaged and labeled using fully automated systems before being transferred to our large warehouse in Erkrath. From there, we ensure short transport routes, precise planning, and reliable delivery times, guaranteeing availability — whether for standard products or customized solutions.
